Role overview

The purpose of the role is to provide effective and comprehensive business support, working as part of Children’s Social Care, Co-ordinate and Support, where necessary, CSC Panel meetings, and to contribute to excellent service delivery through the provision of more specialist/technical administration duties and overseeing the workflow management of other business support employees.

 

Key responsibilities

  • Co-ordinate CSC Panel meetings, ensuring cover available, minutes produced accurately and within timescale. You will be required to  cover Panel Meetings which include Foster Panel,  FCP meetings and Access to Resource Panel when staff are not available
  • Working with Senior Managers, Partners and Business Support Officers to support the development and review of Processes and Procedures ensuring  these are Implemented,  up-to-date, fit for purpose and adhered to at all times
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of the work of the team, identify training requirements, take part in performance management processes, and take steps to develop staff to improve performance where appropriate.
  • Oversee the workflow and distribute tasks to team members, checking the standard of work through quality assurance checks. 

 

Key Requirements

To succeed in this role you will need as a minimum:

  • Excellent minute taking skills with the ability to minute high level meetings
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required to effectively respond sensitively to problems and advise and support Business Support Officers, Social Workers and Senior Managers, with confidence to challenge where appropriate based on evidence.
  • Excellent organisational skills are required in order to develop and manage the provision of appropriate Reports, statistics, data quality checks, ensuring Managers have access to appropriate and timely information as required
  • An ability to manage own workload, you must be able to work at pace with attention to detail with the ability to multi-task and switch between a number of conflicting priorities ensuring all timescales are met.
