Role overview

To be responsible for the supervision, care, well-being and safety of children with special educational needs while they are transported to and from school in transport commissioned by the Council.

 

Key responsibilities

  • To be responsible for the comfort, safety and well-being of pupils, and to ensure their safe arrival at school or home as appropriate.
  • To provide a link between home and school as appropriate.
  • To supervise children and maintain order inside the vehicle. 

Key Requirements

To succeed in this role you will need as a minimum:

·         The ability to meet a child’s individual care needs.

·         The ability to communicate appropriately, sensitively and confidentially with adults and children.

·         Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work on own initiative.
