Role Overview:


Various 10 hour Term Time Only positions across the borough are available for people who are passionate about delivering a high-quality service within the Education Catering Service.

Additional hours and progression may be available once employed.

 

We would like you to be a highly self-motivated, Team player, flexible, organised, responsible person who is enthusiastic, innovative and genuinely passionate about their job, you must also have an interest in food.

 

This is a Term time only post and holidays are to be taken during school closure.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • To assist and be directed by the Cook Supervisor as required with the all aspects of daily food preparation of menu choices.
  • To work as part of a customer focused team
  • To assist as required with the serving of our customer meals.
  • To undertake daily kitchen cleaning duties which include washing up, cleaning ovens, serving counter, fridges and sweeping and mopping floors.
  • Dinning room duties could include setting up and dismantling tables and chairs

 

 

Key Requirements:

To succeed in this role you will need as a minimum:

  • To have undertaken or be willing to undertake a course in Food Hygiene
  • Willingness to undertake further training and development as required by the post
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • You will be required to work flexibly at other sites within the Borough as required and directed by the Management Team..
