Contract Type: Permanent (from 01/04/2019)

Salary: £28,972 - £31,525 p.a. (pro rata) (salary plus any additional payments)

Hours: 14.66 per week

Based: Oldham Library & Lifelong Learning Centre, The Cultural Quarter, Greaves Street, Oldham, OL1 1AL

Role overview

To be responsible to the relevant Curriculum Manager for the management, development and delivery of all aspects of English programmes across the Service. In addition, to support the Curriculum Manager in the overall management of the Service.

 

Key responsibilities

  • To assist in the management of the staff team.
  • To assist in the identification of new developments, initiatives and policies within the Service.
  • To assist with data and financial monitoring procedures.
  • To contribute to planning and reviewing the Self Assessment Report and Quality Improvement Plan of the team in line with the Service Plan and Directorate and Corporate objectives.
  • To ensure the implementation of all Service policies..

Key Requirements

To succeed in this role you will need as a minimum:

  • Relevant teaching qualification at level 4 e.g. Cert Ed, PGCE, B.Ed.
  • Minimum of Level 4/5 subject specialism qualification in a relevant curriculum area.
  • Excellent organisational skills will be needed to assist the Curriculum Manager with the development and management of teaching and learning within the Post 19 sector; with Practitioner experience in the curriculum area relevant to the post.
