Due to the maternity leave of the Assistant Headteacher, the Governors at Beever Primary School wish to offer a unique secondment opportunity to strong, ambitious and effective school middle leaders who are seeking an exciting, temporary experience.  

The Governors are seeking to second an inspirational, forward thinking, experienced teacher who has the enthusiasm, expertise and experience to fulfil the role of Acting Assistant Headteacher. 

As Acting Assistant Headteacher you will work alongside our Headteacher and Deputy Headteacher to provide vision, direction and leadership in order to build on our strengths and further develop our school.  

 

We are looking to second into the position of Acting Assistant Headteacher someone who:

  • Is an outstanding classroom practitioner who supports the development of others in a warm and caring manner;
  • Has drive, energy and a passion to lead, challenge and inspire our staff and pupils;

 

Our children would like someone who: 

  • Makes learning exciting;
  • Will help us to be the best we can be.

 

Our staff would like someone who: 

  • Is positive, approachable and supportive;
  • Is driven and motivated;
      

We offer you: 

  • An excellent staff team with high morale and commitment to each other;
  • A genuine commitment to your professional development;

 

The Acting Assistant Headteacher will be required to teach in class for the period of this secondment and must therefore provide an excellent model of best practice for teachers.
