Role Overview:

 

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and dedicated Team Manager for one of our Permanence Teams, to be responsible for a small team of social workers working with Looked After Children and Young People.  You should have the ability to motivate and influence staff, leading a high performing team who produce good quality work, improving outcomes for children, young people and their families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To ensure stability and permanence for young people and families, to support the social work team to assess, plan and review to ensure outcomes are achieved for our children and young people
  • Ensuring that you follow the policies and guidance of the Council and regulators and Ensuring health and safety requirements are met
  • To provide regular supervision to the Social Workers you manage
  • Improving quality and the service provided to children and young people in care

  

Key Requirements:

  • Educated to DIPSW or degree level social work
  • HCPC registration
  • Evidence of professional development
  • Must have the ability to use IT
  • Substantial post qualification experience in statutory child-care services
  • Experience of supervising workers in a social work setting
  • Working as part of a team
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Willingness to improve practice
  • An enhanced DBS is required
