Role overview
You will be working as part of the Council’s Trading Standards & Licensing Team delivering an efficient and effective licensing service. This will include being responsible for developing policy and overseeing compliance work.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee the day to day running of the operations of the licensing team
- Write and present licensing panel and committee reports
- Conduct 1-1’s, appraisals and work reviews
- Liaising with trade representatives
- Overseeing work programmes and inspection regimes
Key Requirements
To succeed in this role you will need as a minimum:
- A qualified and experience licensing professional.
- Experience of working as part of a licensing team dealing with a range of functions including Licensing Act and Hackney/Private Hire legislation.
- Experience of handling criminal evidence, preparing prosecution reports and of giving evidence in court and at committee.
