We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant Assistant who would relish the chance to work in a large, happy and well-led school. Coppice Primary Academy is a Good school; it is a part of Focus Academy Trust, and works closely with Roundthorn Primary Academy. Both Academies are led by the Executive Principal and benefit from the sharing of knowledge and expertise. Our staff are dedicated to serving a diverse community, our motto being ‘Learn and Grow Together’. We provide a broad based and innovative curriculum, blending the essential basic skills in English and maths with a wider curriculum based around Learning Challenges.
The role is specifically to support a child with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP). This child has social and communication needs and learning difficulties, and is on the autistic pathway. The start date for the role will be as soon as possible from Monday 18th January, to be arranged with the successful candidate.
We are looking for someone who:
- Has experience of working on a one-to-one basis with children with special educational needs in an Early Years or KS1 setting.
- Is willing to support and implement the child's personal programmes. The child will also need support to keep safe and access learning across the setting.
- Has a passion for working with children and is patient, kind, caring and flexible
- Is highly motivated and can work both in a team and individually, demonstrating the ability to show own initiative.
- Has high expectations and demonstrates a commitment to raising standards and achieving the best for all our children.
In return, we can offer:
- A caring, warm and friendly academy
- Happy, well-behaved children who have a love of learning
- Supportive and enthusiastic Governors, staff and parents
- Ongoing professional development through a coaching culture, to ensure personal and professional improvement
- A commitment to bespoke leadership development for all.
