Receptionist
Full Time, 42 weeks per year, Permanent. To commence Monday 4th January 2021.
Salary: Pro-rata of Points 1-6 of the Sixth Form College’s Support Staff pay spine, which is currently £17,246 - £19,382 per annum. Actual Salary £15,814 - £17,773.
We are seeking to appoint a receptionist to assist the support staff managers in the effective delivery of the College’s administration/student services.
Based on a busy Reception, you will be the first point of contact for students, parents and all visitors to the college. Your duties will include offering administrative support across the organisation. You will deal with student and parent queries effectively and efficiently, both face to face and via telephone, in addition to welcoming guests and greet people who visit or telephone the college. You will also coordinate front-desk activities, including distributing correspondence and redirecting phone calls.
To be successful in this post, you should have a pleasant personality and excellent communication skills, as this is also a customer service role. You will need to be organised and remain calm under pressure as you will be required to deal with multiple and varied situations in a timely and effective manner. Multitasking and stress management skills are essential for this position. Excellent IT skills are required.
Ultimately, a Receptionist’s duties and responsibilities are to ensure excellent customer service is given to all those they interact with, and executing all administrative tasks to the highest quality standards.
