Hours: 14.66 per week. Equivalent to two full days or four half days
Based: Civic Centre, West Street, Oldham OL1 1UL and home working to meet business needs

Service Overview:
Are you motivated by wanting to do the best for Children and Young People in Oldham? If so, we want to hear from you. We are looking for experienced commissioners and contract managers. Oldham is developing an integrated commissioning function for all children and young people. Look, apply; be the change that makes a difference.
Key Responsibilities:
- To support the Start Well Commissioning Team in the planning and commissioning of service for children and young people and contracts for services.
- To ensure that services are strategically relevant, meet identified needs and agreed outcomes, achieve performance targets and are high quality and cost effective.
- To ensure that services are driven by evidenced needs and analyses and that service delivery meets the needs of children and young people and improve outcomes for service users.
- To undertake commissioning tasks as determined by other managers in Commissioning and Partnerships
Key Requirements:
To succeed in this role, you will need as a minimum:
- The ability and experience to analyse and interpret data and present it effectively to various audiences to inform decision-making.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required to effectively advise and support senior managers, with confidence to challenge where appropriate based on evidence.
- Excellent organisational skills will be needed to agree, develop and manage the provision of appropriate services for children and young people across the Oldham district; ensuring managers have access to appropriate and timely information about services and Oldham
