Salary: £34,000

Hours:  37.5  per week

Based: Civic Centre, West Street, Oldham, OL1 1UT

Role overview

 

Working as part of the HR Advisory team to provide professional support and guidance to Council Managers across the organisation and its owned businesses. This role will be split across the core Council Directorates and Unity Partnership.

 

As this is a split role there is flexibility to suit potentially two part time or one full time employee.

 

Key responsibilities 

Manage a portfolio of case work including

  • Improving attendance
  • Disciplinary
  • Capability
  • Grievance
  • Restructuring the organisation
  • Provide advice on a variety of terms and conditions
  • Support HR Advisers 

 

Key Requirements

 

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required to effectively advise and support senior officers, with confidence to challenge where appropriate.
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Up to date knowledge of Employment law and best practice in Employee Relations
