Salary: Scale 6 pts 26 to 28 - £11,201 to £11,951 (pro rata) subject to experience

Hours: 0.6 FTE (22 hours: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday each week, term time plus 1 week

Date: Tuesday 18th April until Friday 15th December

 

The College

Hathershaw is a very successful and oversubscribed, mixed 11-16 converter academy, which serves a multi-cultural intake. In April 2016, Ofsted judged us to be a good school. We have an unwavering focus on teaching and learning, staff development and team work to ensure the best possible educational outcomes for our students.

 

 

The Principal has very high aspirations for pupils and is well supported by other leaders.   Staff morale is high. The school is a very harmonious community’.

The Person

The successful candidate must have experience of working with hearing impaired students and also have the following signing qualification: Level 2 Certificate in British Sign Language (Signature) or Level 3 Open College of Sign Language (OCSL). 

 

The Role

Amongst other duties, the work will involve supporting hearing impaired students in mainstream classes and in the Resource, to ensure full access to the curriculum through Sign Supported English.
