Role Overview:
We are looking for an experienced digital communications professional to help us make a difference.
You will lead a small team of communicators to promote Oldham and the council’s services to the right people using the right tools. You will develop and manage our content and channels strategy using insight and analytics to maximise reach to appropriate audiences.
You will manage our online brand ensuring the quality of our content and work across the organisation to support the delivery of their objectives through effective communications.
Key Responsibilities:
- To develop, manage and monitor the organisations brand and reputation through the effective management of the Council’s core communications channels and lead the delivery of core council campaigns and activity.
- To shape and manage the organisations approach to content and campaign delivery using the latest insight and evaluation techniques to ensure return on investment for all activity.
- To oversee the activity of the Council’s web team to drive greater use of online channels for residents and other stakeholders.
Key Requirements:
- Experience of developing and managing delivery of digital communication campaigns and activity in a large, complex organisation
- Experience managing communication channels on behalf of a large organisation owning and promoting online brand and reputation.
- Demonstrable experience in using insight to shape messaging and activity that changes behaviours and views or drives outcomes and using evaluation to monitor success against those campaigns
