Hawthorns School, located in Audenshaw Tameside, is a successful and happy primary special school which is also designated as a National Teaching School. All our pupils are primary age with an EHCP or statement, and have moderate learning difficulties and additional complex needs. Hawthorns School joined the New Bridge Multi Academy Trust in March 2018.

New Bridge Multi Academy Trust (MAT) also comprises New Bridge School, New Bridge Learning Centre, Spring Brook Academy and Hollinwood Academy (all situated in Oldham). Our new AP free school, the Springboard project opened in September 2019. We support the learning, social and pastoral needs of over 700 young people aged between 4 and 19 years.

We are looking for candidates with experience of working with children, with an interest in supporting children with a range of special educational needs, who can show initiative and are able to work effectively in a team.
New Bridge MAT is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and applicants must have a commitment to safeguarding young people.

Salary: NJC Point 3 - £18,065 (£12,924 pro rata) plus SEN allowance
Contracted Hours: 31.75 per week / term time only
Based: Sunnyside Moss Campus, Lumb Lane, Audenshaw, Manchester M34 5SF
