Salary – up to £87,381
Your role
You will be responsible for improving health and wellbeing and reducing health inequalities across the town working within the organisation and with our partners. The long term vision for Oldham is that our residents should be able to realise their full potential and enjoy the best quality of life in a healthy, safe, prosperous and sustainable environment.
As well as acting as the Director of Public Health, you will lead on the physical activity and leisure services, which promotes improvements in the health and wellbeing of our local communities. Reporting to our Executive Director of Health and Wellbeing you will work across our directorates, our partners and communities, shaping the wider public health to reduce health inequalities.
About you
We are looking to appoint an experienced, knowledgeable and driven leader with a wide-ranging knowledge of the public health issues we face. The ideal candidate will be adept at managing relationships with partners and have a proven track record of delivering public health improvements, be a positive role model and show they know how to create a high performing public health culture.
