Role Overview:
We are seeking to appoint enthusiastic and passionate individuals to join our team of Youth Workers, delivering a range of activities for young people across Oldham
Key Responsibilities:
- To work with young people between the ages of 8 and 19, (and up to 25 when young people are disabled) supporting the work of the Oldham Councils Youth Work Teams in various roles including Detached Work, Youth Empowerment and District Youth Team.
- You will build positive professional relationships with young people.
- Deliver planned youth work programmes supporting lead youth workers.
- Promotion of the youth voice vehicle and supporting young people in a range of professional meeting settings.
- This post will include working weekends and evenings
Key Requirements:
To succeed in this role you will need as a minimum:
- Previous experience of working/volunteering with young people aged 8-25 years; either in a centre based or detached setting.
- Ability to work with young people to develop their social education by contributing to programmes of activities, services and facilities that are fun and enable young people to develop.
- Ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with members of the public and young people.
