Role overview
Working within the Council’s Business Intelligence Service, you will drive forward improvements, so that we can understand and address the changing needs and demands of our communities, particularly in the context of challenging times for local public services.
Key responsibilities
Working closely with services to establish business requirements for the successful implementation of changes to business functions and process, organisational roles and responsibilities and change management strategies.
Providing options and evaluation of the financial, commercial, cultural, technological, organisational and environmental factors that must be addressed in a change programme, and the benefits that are to be achieved
Providing structured advice and guidance to business and service change teams in the Council is desired.
Promoting the appropriate use of business intelligence across the organisation, supporting the development of a culture that places the onus for performance management, ensuring that the work of the Business Intelligence team adds value to and supports the Council’s strategic direction and underpins informed decision-making.
Key Requirements
To succeed in this role you will need as a minimum:
- To be a self motivated individual and experience change professional, with the motivation to work in collaboration with the wider service, utilising skills, experience and knowledge to contribute to desired goals
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required to effectively advise and support senior officers, with confidence to challenge where appropriate based on evidence.
- Excellent organisational skills will be needed to agree, develop and manage the provision of appropriate business analyst support to relevant customers
