Crompton House is a highly-successful, over-subscribed 11-18 Comprehensive Church of England school situated on the edge of the Pennines. Due to the retirement of the current post holder we are seeking to appoint a registered nurse for the role of Matron/School Nurse. The post requires professionalism, enthusiasm, initiative, common sense and the ability to work under pressure. Matron will be sympathetic and supportive to all members of the school community and will provide a holistic approach which includes health promotion, personal, social and health education (PSHE) and illness and injury assessment and treatment.
Working at Crompton House School is stimulating, challenging and fun. Life here is always varied, never dull and infinitely interesting because our pupils are highly independent learners and very enthusiastic and willing participants in learning activities. This helps the staff to be passionate about everything they do and there is a great sense of community. There are plenty of opportunities to get involved in school life beyond the curriculum and within the wider community.
Crompton House is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and expects all staff, volunteers and governors to share this commitment. In this respect all potential applicants are advised that any offer of appointment will be subject to enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service clearance as well as other relevant recruitment checks
