Role Overview:
 

To lead on strategic commissioning, planning and development activity to deliver on key priority themes, ensuring clear proposals for service redesign, commissioning and decommissioning, shaping and driving commissioning activity that delivers value for money, improved outcomes and required efficiencies.

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, coordinate and produce a range of plans and strategies in collaboration with stakeholders ensuring effective co-production, consultation and engagement.
  • To be responsible for/lead production of the required business plans and commissioning strategies and policies and plans, regularly evaluating progress and taking appropriate actions.
  • To manage relationships with key stakeholders, including providers both individually and collectively, to support the effective delivery of services.
  • Support Senior Managers within the CCG, the community health and adult social care service, the wider council, and partner agencies to develop and support a shared strategy for the commissioning of services across Oldham which will feed into other strategies which may be at a sub-regional or regional level.

 

Key Requirements:
 

To succeed in this role you will need as a minimum:

  • The ability and experience to analyse and interpret data and present it effectively to various audiences to inform decision-making.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required to effectively advise and support senior officers, with confidence to challenge where appropriate based on evidence.
  • Excellent organisational skills will be needed to agree, develop and manage the provision of appropriate business intelligence; ensuring managers have access to appropriate and timely information about their service and Oldham.
