About Oldham Enterprise Trust:
Oldham Enterprise Trust (OET) is a Charitable Incorporated Organisation recruited independently from within the Oldham business community and Oldham Council elected members. OET, as well as influencing public sector strategy, administers a private donation from the Stoller Charitable Trust that offers business grants and loans to Oldham entrepreneurs under the age of 30. In addition, OET delivers projects and initiatives designed to promote enterprise and employability to Oldham school and College students.
Purpose of the Traineeship:
The traineeship is to assist OET with administration support on the Oldham Enterprise Fund (OEP). This includes dedicated support to the OEP, including administration, support at events.
What will I be doing?
- Supporting the administration for the Oldham Enterprise Fund (OEF) including the use of email, excel, writing up notes, processing orders, photocopying, scanning and entering data into documents and spreadsheets/ databases and checking it for accuracy.
- Creation of manual file and electronic folders for OEF applicants with associated manual and electronic filing of documents & correspondence
- Photocopying and scanning of documents
- Create Assessor packs for Assessment Panels & subsequent confidential shredding of surplus copies
- Updating of records and files related to the outcome of Assessment Panels
- Assisting with face to face meeting with applicants & Winners on Council premises to collect / issue documents
- Receive and make telephone calls including message taking
- Taking notes at team meetings
- Willingness to work from more than 1 base i.e. Civic Centre & Town Centre shop.
- Support the organisation of events e.g. Winner’s Club network meetings, Oldham youth enterprise network and Enterprise Hub events in advance and on the day.
- Possible input of OEF applicant data to Oldham Council’s ‘Tractivity’ database
- Any other duties as reasonably requested and agreed to support the administration and management of OET activities.
What will I gain?

Requirements for the Traineeship:
- Good communication skills
- Well organised, reliable and punctual
- Ability to work flexibly as part of a team
- Knowledge of Microsoft office software
