Based: Level 8, Civic Centre, West Street, Oldham

Role overview

Example: Working within the council’s Early Help Service, the post holder will work with agencies in Oldham to ensure the Early Help offer is embedded and accessed appropriately. The job involves working with individuals and families across Oldham to support them to access Early Help services. The post holder will carry a small caseload and provide one to one support for people.   

 

Key responsibilities

  • To carry out in depth Early Help assessments and develop work plans based on assessment
  • To hold cases and provide one to one support for families and individuals.
  • To support agencies in Oldham to utilise the Early Help offer in a timely way
  • To support agencies to develop Early Help activity and reduce the need for more specialist interventions

Key Requirements

To succeed in this role you will need as a minimum: 
  • The ability to carry out assessments and create plans to improve outcomes for families.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required to effectively work with and advise agencies developing Early Help approaches
  • To work across different service areas that provide support for individuals and families

The post is subject to an enhanced disclosure from the DBS
