Hours: per week: 36.66hrs (Term time only)
Based: Various sites across the borough

Role overview
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic individual to join our team of Sport Development Workers, delivering a range of dance activities in schools for children and young people across Oldham.
The purpose of the post is to work with local schools to increase levels of participation in positive and educational activities for children and young people.
Key responsibilities
- To plan and deliver a programme of high quality Dance lessons within local primary schools across Oldham
- To deliver educational programmes in schools linked to the curriculum
- To link with other partners within the local area to develop community based activities during holiday periods and during evenings and weekends
- To assist in the creation of pathways for young people to access further activity
Key Requirements
To succeed in this role you will need as a minimum:
- The ability and experience to deliver dance based activities within a school environment
- The ability and experience to work with children and young people across the age and ability range
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required to effectively advise and support senior officers, teachers and head teachers
- Excellent organisational skills will be needed to deliver against set targets and meet deadlines
