Salary: Part-time tutor rates of pay

£20.89 - £26.50 per hour – Vocational Courses

£17.59 - £23.36 per hour - Non-vocational Courses

Oldham Lifelong Learning Service, judged as Outstanding in all areas by Ofsted in November 2015, is a successful thriving adult and community education provider serving the diverse needs of local communities.  In 2016, we were re-awarded the national Matrix Standard for the quality of our information, advice and guidance.  We have approximately 10,000 enrolments across a broad range of programmes and put our learners at the heart of all that we do.

 

Our courses attract a diverse group of learners from different backgrounds and it is essential that you are able to accommodate this in your planning, teaching and assessment strategies.

 

Are you a qualified teacher looking for part-time teaching opportunities? 

Do you have a relevant teaching qualification e.g. CTLLS, PGCE, Cert Ed, 7407? 

Do you have, or are working towards a relevant Level 3 subject qualification?

 

Are you creative, inspirational and flexible?  Are you interested in working within a dynamic and successful service?  Have you experience in teaching adults?  Have you experience in working with learners who are seeking employment?

 

We are seeking to appoint tutors with a level 4/5 subject specialism and experience of teaching Functional Skills and / or GCSE Maths.

 

We offer a range of courses at various levels from entry level 1 to level 2 and GCSE in venues across the borough. 

 

Experience of engaging and working with adults who are from disadvantaged areas and who are seeking employment would be an advantage. 

 

Experience of working with communities to deliver outreach and responsive provision would also be an advantage.
