Contract Type: Permanent

Salary: up to £34,106 dependent upon experience (Grade 6 up to £29,909, Grade 7 up to £34,106)

Hours: Full-time (36.66 per week)

Based: Units 7-13, Whitney Court, Southlink, Hamilton Street, Oldham OL4 1DB

Closing Date: 11th of April 2019

Interview Date: 16th and 19th of 2019

Key responsibilities

 

You will need a sound knowledge in the assessment of families and matching children’s needs, together with the skills and confidence to support and supervise Foster Carers in the best interests of children and young people in our care.

 

Key Requirements

 

You will have a relevant professional qualification in social work, together with valid HCPC registration. You will also have experience of undertaking assessments of potential foster carers. A good knowledge of the fostering regulations, child care law and safeguarding issues is essential. You will be able to demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills.

 

All roles are subject to a safer recruitment process, including the disclosure of criminal records and vetting checks in accordance with our policies and procedures to promote safeguarding and safer working practice across our services.

The successful applicant will be appointed subject to satisfactory references and enhanced DBS.
