Hey with Zion C. of E./ Methodist Primary School is a successful and high achieving school and we are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, hardworking and compassionate Level 4 teaching assistant (0.4) to work Thursdays and Fridays, mainly but not exclusively in Foundation Stage/ Key Stage One.

The post is to start as soon as possible.

The successful candidate will:

  • A committed and compassionate professional, sympathetic to the Christian ethos of the school
  • Be able to complement the professional work of teachers by taking responsibility for agreed learning activities under supervision.
  • Be able to work with the teacher to contribute to learning activities and lesson planning. This may include planning, preparing and delivering learning activities for individuals and groups.
  • Be willing to support or lead classes according to the school’s need.
  • Have a strong understanding of the teaching of phonics.
  • Be an effective team member with very high expectations of themselves and all learners.
  • Be an effective communicator able to develop strong relationships with all stakeholders.
  • Be an excellent role model with strong organisational skills.
