Role overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated, enthusiastic and innovative nurse to join the Health Protection Team at Oldham Borough Council, providing health protection and infection prevention and control support and advice across the town for community services in health and social care.
You will be part of a small, responsive team and you will be supported in providing Health Protection advice which includes specialist infection prevention and control. You will be expected to deliver training and audits to all community services within Oldham Cares and provide proactive and reactive support during outbreaks to the population of Oldham.
To support you in this role, there will be an expectation to complete a recognised Infection Prevention and Control qualification.
This is a great opportunity to make a real difference to the quality of care and improve outcomes for clients working with other services and professionals whilst developing your own skills and knowledge.
Applicants will be a registered nurse with a minimum of 2 years nursing experience as well as a working knowledge of infection prevention and control.
