The Trustees are looking to recruit to the post of   

CLASS TEACHER – ICT

Full time or part time considered *

Teachers’ pay range(£22,917 - £38,633) plus SEN (£2,149pa)

Immediate start / dependent on notice

 

New Bridge Multi Academy Trust (MAT) presently comprises New Bridge School, New Bridge Learning Centre, Spring Brook Academy, Hollinwood Academy and Hawthorns School.  We support the learning, social and pastoral needs of over 700 young people aged between 4 and 19 years. In addition, we offer a post 19 provision, New Bridge Horizons, a cafeteria concession, The Atrium and a new Future Finders Employability College, all based in Oldham town centre.  We also have supported student placements at the Royal Oldham Hospital and Manchester Metropolitan University. All these components form the New Bridge Group.

 

We are looking to appoint an ICT teacher with a thorough understanding of the current IT curriculum involving multimedia and programming topics from Entry Level up to GCSE level. Such topics will include:

  • Website Design
  • Video Editing
  • Graphic Design
  • Animation
  • Programming software such as Scratch and Python

 

A range of hardware is used including Dell PCs, iPads, SMART touchscreens and Sphero robotics. We use a wide range of software applications such as Windows 7, IOS, Serif Creative Suite, Adobe Creative Packages, 2Simple software and Microsoft Office Suite.

 

There will also be an expectation to teach some lessons to our more complex learners with Autism and Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties. These lessons include using assistive technology such as switches and touch screens. Although candidates may not have experience of teaching these types of learners, we are looking for candidates with a willingness and aptitude to do so.
