Senior Systems and Applications Officer

Contract Type: Permanent

Salary: £30000 - £42000 Depending on experience

Hours:  37.5 hours per week

Based: Civic Centre, Oldham

Role Overview:
 

Working within the Unity Partnership IT Service, you will be responsible for the support, configuration and maintenance of Council Software Systems, with a focus on social care information management system (Mosaic) to ensure the availability, integrity and security of data

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the support, development and management of the Council’s systems, including Idox Uniform ensuring that systems are up to date and available.
  • Provide 2nd/3rd line support for core systems, primarily, but not restricted to Idox Uniform. Resolve user enquiries of varying complexity in line with SLA’s ensuring that support call handling procedures are followed.

 

Key Requirements

To succeed in this role you will need as a minimum:

 

  • The ability and experience to support and maintain a number of IT software systems aligned with ITIL best practise processes, with a special focus on application interoperability, integration, development standards, deployment and application lifecycle management.
  • Experience of advising and leading development of processes within core systems, coupled with a strong knowledge and technical expertise in managing data
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required to effectively advise and support senior officers, with confidence to challenge where appropriate based on evidence.
