The Pinnacle Learning Trust existing with the aim of creating a family of outstanding academies.  At present, the Multi-Academy Trust (MAT) consists of Oldham Sixth Form College and The Hathershaw College, although we are seeking to grow to include schools from the Primary sector.

The Hathershaw College is a high performing OFSTED rated good 11-16 school.  Our Progress 8 score of +0.47 for 2018 is well above the national average, placing us in the top 20% of all secondary schools in the country.   

Oldham Sixth Form College is a large and diverse sixth form college specialising in Advanced level courses, OFSTED rated good.  We have an excellent reputation for academic and vocational achievement, comprehensive pastoral care and extensive enrichment.  OSFC received the Social Mobility Award at the Educate North Awards in April 2017.

The Academies are well equipped and resourced.  All teachers have a laptop computer and all classrooms have projectors and sound equipment.  Our network has state of the art server technology at its heart which ensures it is stable and available to support learning both in and out of the building. 

Our Trust also benefits from having a Teaching School, the Advantage Teaching School Alliance, led by Oldham Sixth Form College, at its heart.

IT Support Technician

Full time, full year. To commence as soon as possible, fixed term until 31st August 2019 in the first instance.

To support the IT Services Team in providing a reliable, up-to-date and efficient information technology environment, providing a high quality first line response to staff and students to resolve technical issues.  The successful candidate will have experience of working in an IT support environment, installing software and troubleshooting IT problems.  You should have a working knowledge of Windows 7 or above and active directory.   You will need to be flexible, organised and hardworking, with good communication skills and ability to remain calm under pressure.  This post is likely to require working in both The Hathershaw College and Oldham Sixth Form College, therefore a driving licence and use of own car is desirable.   

Salary: Points 16-21, of the Sixth Form College’s Support Staff pay spine, which is currently £16,400 - £18,125 per annum.
