Salary: Grade 9-  £ 37,306 to 41,025 p.a.

Hours: 36.66 per week

Based: Civic Centre, West Street, Oldham OL1 1UL

Closing date: Friday 19th January 2018
Interview Dates: Week commencing 29th January 2018
    

Role overview

Working within the council’s Legal Services team, you will drive forward improvements to the service including developing the Case Management and IT Systems, developing income streams and business planning. You will manage a small team of Business Support and deliver projects in line with the business plan.

 

Key responsibilities

  • Produce and distribute a range of business intelligence from the Council’s Visualfiles case management system and develop and improve IT systems.
  • Help develop and implement effective methods of measurement, monitoring and evaluation of policies and services to ensure quality standards are maintained.
  • To liaise with Legal Services officers to ensure and co-ordinate the provision of efficient administrative and clerical support to the Legal Services section
  • Support the Head of Legal Services in controlling the Legal Services budget, library, all staffing matters and maintaining and improving income streams.
  • Client liaison and development.

 

Key Requirements

To succeed in this role you will need as a minimum: 

 

  • Experience of working within a busy Legal Services organisation in a Practice Management capacity to ensure quality standards and client care are maintained.
  • Experience of developing and maintaining secure administration systems/procedures including the development of legal Case Management Systems and management of administrative support.
  • Excellent commercial skills to maintain and develop income streams and business plans for Legal Services.
