Contract: Fixed term for one year (linked to EHCP funding)

Salary: £20,903 pro rata per annum (Grade 4)

Work Pattern: Term time plus 5 days

Hours: 32.5 per week

Based: Coppice Primary Academy, Kennedy Street, Oldham OL8 1BD

Role Overview:

 

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant who would relish the chance to work in a large, happy and well-led school. Our staff are dedicated to serving a diverse community, our motto being ‘Learn and Grow Together’. We provide a broad based and innovative curriculum, blending the essential basic skills in literacy and numeracy with a wider curriculum based around Learning Challenges.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

The role is specifically to support children with EHC plans who have speech and communication needs and learning difficulties. The start date for the role will be as soon as possible from 12th January, to be arranged with the successful candidate.

 

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has experience of working with children with special educational needs in Early Years and/or Key Stage 1 settings.
  • Is willing to support and implement the pupil's Individual Learning Plans, including social, health, hygiene, and welfare matters.
  • Has a passion for working with children and is kind, caring and flexible
  • Is highly motivated and can work both in a team and individually
  • Has high expectations and demonstrates a commitment to raising standards and achieving the best for all our children.
