Salary: £17,364 - £18,426 pro rata (term time only)

Hours: 7.5 per week

Based: vacancies at Crompton House; Westwood Primary, Oldham; Richmond Primary, Oldham; Waterhead Academy, Oldham; Burnley Brow, Chadderton; St Marys Failsworth

Role Overview:

The School Crossing Patrol Officers work at designated locations to safely assist children and adults across the road.  The shift pattern is split between morning and afternoon for the start and finish of the school day, and must be covered in all weather conditions.

 

Full training will be given and uniform will be provided. For child protection purposes and enhanced DBS (Formerly CRB) check will be required.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • To stop traffic using the authorised sign, then cross children and adults safely across the road.
  • To use all uniform and equipment provided for the safety of yourself, children and all other members of the public, especially when stopping traffic on the highway.
  • Maintain control over children who are awaiting your instruction to cross.
  • Report any problems or difficulties to your supervisor

 

 

Key Requirements:

  • No previous experience required.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must comply with training given.
  • Must satisfy competency to the SCP Supervisor.
