Part of the New Bridge Multi Academy Trust, the Springboard Project, provides high quality, innovative and alternative educational experiences for students with SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health difficulties) across the 14-19 age range.

The Springboard Project is opening a new Engagement Pathways provision which draws together the opportunity for young people, who are struggling to access school settings, a chance to experience an individualised and personalised approach, direct support and a tailored learning offer.  For each student we build a bespoke engagement pathway around the needs and circumstances of that person.

Other key elements include delivering the curriculum in individualised off-site settings whilst building and developing relationships that guide, support and challenge individuals to achieve their EHCP, personal and social goals. We do this by working with students as individuals, one step at a time and co-constructing our provision around them.  The objective is for students go on to re-integrate into a school setting, move on to college, build their own enterprise or undertake paid or voluntary work.

The work will also involve close contact with student’s schools, their families and with our wider multi sector partnerships to build positive mind sets and outlooks, deliver positive transitions and relationships that go on to support each person to play a positive role in society.

Applicants should be able to demonstrate how they meet the following essential criteria:

  • Experience of working with young people who present with challenging behaviour and complex needs (SEMH) within an educational setting
  • Experience of delivering the curriculum, monitoring and assessing student progress and engagement; and providing regular feedback to stakeholders
  • Experience of supporting young people to overcome barriers to their personal, social or learning development from a pastoral perspective
  • Experience of intervening to support students in crisis or trauma by using either emotional or educational support

New Bridge MAT is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and applicants must have a commitment to safeguarding young people. This post is subject to a satisfactory enhanced disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service and references will be sought prior to appointment.
