Teaching Hub Administration Manager

Grade 6, SCP 23 – 27 (£27,741 to £31,346)

Full time (36 hours 40 minutes per week) full year

Permanent

The newly launched national teaching school hub programme has created a network of 87 centres of excellence for teacher training and development, focused on some of the best schools and multi-academy trusts in the country. Teaching Hubs will support schools and trusts to recruit, develop, and retain the very best teachers and leaders for the children and young people they serve.

We are delighted to have been designated as the Teaching School Hub for Oldham and Tameside and will be opening the East Manchester Teaching School Hub in September 2021.

This is a brand-new role which is pivotal to the effective running of our Hub. The Teaching Hub Administration Manager will oversee effective communications and provide professional business and administrative support, focussed on the new core activities of the Hub, but within an established, successful and growing education Trust.

To be successful in this role you need to be a people person. You need to be a highly effective communicator with the ability to work in a customer focussed remit which involves forming relationships, getting to know our stakeholders and applicants and effectively administrate the systems for maintaining engagement.

This is an excellent opportunity to design, implement and develop the systems for effective communications and engagement strategies.

We are looking for a self-motivated and personable colleague. You do not need to have worked in education, but you will probably want to when you read more about our mission. What is important is the ability to work with many people professionally, to be highly organised and to recognise and deliver outstanding communication and customer service. There will be a lot to learn about the remit of the Hub and it will be crucial for the successful candidate to fully immerse themselves in the world of teacher development and to be able to hit the ground running with it!

You will be based at the Blue Coat School, Oldham, as part of the team led by the School Business Manager.

We offer:

  • The opportunity to work with purpose within an enthusiastic, hardworking and supportive team in North East Manchester
  • ATrust committed to ‘success for all’,
  • Excellent opportunities to develop professionally and grow into the role,
  • Great terms and conditions of employment and access to Local Government Pension Scheme.

The Cranmer Education Trust consists of The Blue Coat School which is an Ofsted ‘Outstanding’ school, St Anne’s CE Academy, two primary schools – East Crompton Saint George’s and Mayfield Primary, both of which have been judged as ‘good’ by Ofsted and the Manchester Nexus School Centred Initial Teacher Training school. We will also be opening a new secondary school, the Brian Clarke CE Academy in Oldham in 2022 for 1,200 pupils.

This post is subject to a satisfactory enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service check.
