Our Children’s Social Care Directorate within Oldham Council is looking for people like you to join us to provide comprehensive, administrative, and service specific support to our Children's Social Care Teams.

In this role you will:

  • Provide administrative support across Children’s Social Care, working under pressure to competing and changing priorities and demands
  • Provide an excellent level of customer service when responding to incoming telephone calls, covering reception and working as part of a team
  • Use computer packages and in-house systems and communicating with a variety of audiences
  • Send out invitations, prepare for and minute meetings
  • Securely manage confidential and sensitive information

To succeed in this role, you will need as a minimum:

  • Experience of providing a high standard of customer service
  • Good organisational skills and be able to work on own initiative
  • Be a flexible team player and be able to work at pace with excellent attention to detail
  • Knowledge and experience of using computer packages.
  • Experience of minuting meetings
  • Knowledge of the Data Protection Act
