Salary: £20,344 - £23,836 pro rata (Grade 4 - term time only)

Hours: 30 per week

Based: The Bungalow, Chadderton Town Hall, Middleton Road, Chadderton, OL9 6PP

Role Overview:

  • To be a self-motivated, organised, responsible person who is enthusiastic, innovative and passionate about their job and is genuinely interested in food.
  • To cook to a very high standard which is delivered and compliant to Nutritional Standards in line with the current menu and take responsibility at unit level for all daily tasks.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • To be responsible at unit level in ensuring a high quality Education Catering Service is provided.
  • To be responsible for all aspects of the service delivery e.g. ordering, preparation, production and meal service.
  • To be responsible for all aspects of Budget Management.
  • To be responsible for all aspects of performance management.


Key Requirements:
 

To succeed in this role you will need as a minimum:

  • To have Basic Food Hygiene Certificate, NVQ Level 2 – Catering or City and Guilds Catering.  Have or be willing to study for and obtain Intermediate Food Hygiene Certificate.
  • Experience in an industrial catering environment of all aspects of service delivery, ordering, preparation, production and meal service
  • Ability to complete paperwork to a required standard and undertake IT duties.
  • You will be required to work at other sites within the Borough as and when required.
