Role overview

Working within the council’s Early Years team, you will support all the functions of administrating all early years funding to the private, voluntary and independent sector and schools whilst providing advice, support and guidance to parents and professional.

 

Key responsibilities

  • To assist with the monitoring, processing, allocation and administration of funding for the Free Early Education Entitlement funding for 2, 3 and 4 year olds, EYPP and the SEN inclusion fund in line with relevant statutory guidance.
  • To provide information, advice and guidance to early years providers, members of the public and officers of the Council on the Early Education funding process.
  • To assist in the quality assurance of grant processes, ensuring all legislative processes and procedures are implemented, updated and in place, and that relevant records and documentation are complete, checked, current and stored appropriately.

Key Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need as a minimum:

  • Ability to work as part of a team and also work independently using own initiative.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required to effectively advise and support members of the public, professionals, and other council officers.
  • Excellent organisational skills will be needed to manage own workload, meet deadlines and conflicting timelines.
